The flesh of honeybells is tender, juicy, and has a sweet, honey-like flavor, which is where their name “honeybells” originates. They are more specifically, a variety of tangelo. Tangelos are hybrids of tangerines and grapefruits, and honeybells are a specific cultivar within the tangelo category. They are known for their sweet and tangy flavor, making them a popular choice as a snack, used in fruit salads, or juiced.
Honeybells have a distinctive bell-like shape, with a thin, easy-to-peel rind and are usually seedless or contain very few seeds.
Navel Oranges
